Positions
On the occasion of the European Year of Rail 2021, the founding members of the Scandria®Alliance underline the importance of cross-border rail transport to their cities and regions and formulate joint objectives.
Our factsheet spells out key messages on what needs to be one to accelerate the transition towards climate-neutral mobility. It is based on an analysis of current developments in markets, infrastructure and incentives for clean fuel vehicles in the northern Scandria®Corridor.
The members of the Scandria®Alliance have developed a joint position during the consultation process of the revised TEN-T guidelines in early 2021. Their position paper focuses on urban nodes, multimodal transport chains, a multi-fuel approach, cross-border railway connections and governance issues.
Projects
The InterGreen-Nodes project aims to improve coordination among freight transport stakeholders by facilitating the alignment between regional interests and EU recommendations on freight transport and regional development.
The BSR Access platform project facilitates innovative and sustainable transport by creating linkages between traditional infrastructure nodes and smart transport solutions to further develop the TEN-T Core Network Corridors and contributes to sustainable growth in the Baltic Sea Region.

from all levels as well as expert knowledge exchange.
BSR Access Final Conference, 16 Mar 2022
The BSR Access partnership will come together for the final conference next spring on the 16th of March. Due to the current situation, the final conference will be held as an online event. The conference is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All the partners will share the progress they have made especially the achieved interoperability that elaborates on the interaction between regional and transport development, complexity of mega-projects as stimulators of economic activity, deployment of clean fuels, streamlining of supply chain processes as well as transport development in first and last mile connections.
Scandria®Alliance General Assembly, 2 Nov 2021
At the General Assembly of the Scandria®Alliance in Berlin on 2 November 2021, the political representatives of the cities and regions confirmed their common vision: to connect regions, communities, and economies through clean and smart transportation.
The founding members welcomed seven new members, offering them to intensify collaboration on climate-smart mobility in the years to come as an important contribution to the achievement of the Paris Climate Goals.
Scandria®Alliance Rail Forum, 2 Nov 2021
On the occasion of the European Year of Rail, the Scandria®Alliance member regions presented their vision for rail transport in the northern Scandria®Corridor at the Scandria®Alliance Rail Forum.
The event was held back-to-back with the Alliance’s General Assembly in Berlin on 2 November 2021. The members underlined the importance of cross-border rail transport for the development of their regions and the fulfillment of Paris Climate Goals.
